About our client
Our client, for whom we are looking for a Solar solution Product Manager (full-time position), is the German subsidiary of a global leading digitalization solution provider.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Commercial estimates and financial modeling. Knows and understands the requirements of the customer including the development of solution requirements, schedules, and commercial.
- Prepare content and materials for customer visits with sales managers to conduct product presentations, customer training sessions, webinars, and customer events.
- Provide and validate content for marketing collateral material such as datasheets, technical brochures, white papers and others.
- Work with customers to iterate through project design parameters to field the most cost-optimized for a project. Establish site-specific design requirements for a project and design the configuration to meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the developer, subcontractors, municipal entity, equipment suppliers, and site-specific construction suppliers to develop a cost-efficient solution to present to the customer.
- As needed, establish relationships and communication tools with suppliers and other key people to verify all materials, supplies, tools, equipment and personnel are obtained and/ or delivered when necessary.
- Communicate and train customers and sales teams in regard of product details and specifications, product advantages, product applications and product benchmarks compared to competitors.
- Work with the marketing team to launch and communicate new products and their features and measure the introduction and sales success of the existing and new products.
Qualifications and knowledge:
- Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, or construction-related course of study from an accredited school or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or related experience in the electrical contractor or comparable industry.
- Minimum of 5 pre-sales Management experience in the renewable energy industry Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to self-sufficiently work with customer requirements;
- Thorough understanding of electrical construction, contracts, and terminology.
- Ability to smoothly handle various situations and problems that may arise, sometimes several at a time, and either solve them or work with others involved to come to a cooperative resolution.
- Excellent organizational and decision-making/problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and German is required.
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Proficient in Software/Computer programs and equipment
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
