About our client

For our client, a worldwide auto parts supplier from China (Top 100 global OEM parts supplier), which is specialized in design, manufacturing and sales of exterior auto parts, we are looking for a Senior Product Engineer (full-time job).

Duties and responsibilities:

• Research market technology trends and analyze competitors to propose innovative solutions, and lead the battery box solution for future EVs in Europe
• Responsible for the structural design of battery box products and the technical correspondence of our OEM customers
• In charge of the structural design of energy storage pack products and the respective technical correspondence of our customers
• Responsible for the technical promotion of energy storage products of the European market, and assist our global R&D teams in the technical exhibition and the development of European customers
• Development and docking of external resources of energy storage products in Europe.

Qualifications and knowledge:

Background:

• xpertise in battery pack system (cell and modules) and car body structure
• Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, industrial engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieur) and/ or respective experience within in the automotive industry
• Over 3 years R&D working experience in battery pack/ battery housing, with experience in energy storage industry preferred
• Be familiar with the overall scheme and structure of battery pack and the relevant process of battery pack box
• Have knowledge of the requirements of European customers, and have corresponding experience in R&D

• Effective communication skills by facing complex environments
• To adapt to market changes and deal with complex and multi-dimensional challenges
• German as a mother tongue or at least C1 level is a must have. Business fluent English skills (B2-C1), Chinese language or further others language skills e.g. Serbo-Croatian, Polish or Czech are a big plus
• Good experience with MS Office, MS Project, FMEA and CA
• Willingness to necessary business trips
