About our client
Our client, for whom we are looking for a Quality Manager (full-time job) is the subsidiary in Ingolstadt of a world-renowned and highly successful automotive supplier.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Quality activities
- Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance
- Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis and implementing short-term or long-term improvements
- Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
- Undertake internal and process audits of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Lead regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish action plans for improving build quality
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
- Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
- Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
- Manage, coach, motivate and develop a high performing Quality Operations team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
- Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
- Prepare the annual Quality budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards. Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements
Qualifications and knowledge:
- Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred
- At least 3-5 years of previous experience as Quality Manager in automotive industry
- English language B2 level
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP,PPAP, Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and FMEA on Advanced level
- Driver´s licence – group B
- General overview of the automotive industry
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Great written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
