About our client

For our client, a German subsidiary of a leading domestic public company in the new energy sector (group of over 7,000 employees), we are looking for a Financial Accountant (full-time position).

Duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain, and audit the internal monthly management accounts
• Input accounting data in the accounting system
• Check accounting entries with supporting documents i.e. purchase invoices, shipping documents
• Conduct and interpret variance analysis on a monthly basis
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing within prescribed deadlines
• Filing of all related monthly accounting data and supporting documentation
• Assist with internal and external audit process
• Assist with monthly VAT declaration
• Preparation of balance confirmation
• Demonstrate full professional skills and knowledge and will be both a trusted advisor on a particular topic and be able to develop company procedures and methods
• Uses analytical skills to develop solutions to non-routine problems
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and knowledge:

• Business level of fluency in both English and Chinese is essential
• PC skills (especially advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP system)
• Attention to Detail and good time management skills
• Ability to work to strict deadline
• Presents complex thoughts clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
• Ability to determine major objectives and how to implement

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Accounting or related discipline.
• At least two years of Financial Accountant experience required in a German company
