Our client, for whom we are looking for a Deputy General Manager/Operation Manager (full-time job) is the subsidiary in Ingolstadt of a world-renowned and highly successful automotive supplier

• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Plan and direct day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
• Increase production capacity while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
• Manage logistics and supply chain operations.
• Ensure production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
• Allocate resources effectively to optimize results.
• Implement strategies aligned with strategic initiatives for clear direction.
• Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Build trust within the team, recruit, manage, and develop plant staff.
• Collect and analyze data to identify and eliminate waste and overtime.
• Commit to safety procedures across the plant.
• Develop systems to track productivity, standards, and performance targets for optimal asset return.
• Address employee issues and administer collective bargaining agreements.
• Stay updated on production management best practices.
• Responsible for KPIs, management reports, and continuous improvement in costs, quality, and safety.

Qualifications and knowledge:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as an Operations Manager or Deputy General Manager, preferably in a tier one or two automotive supplier.
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles, including budgeting and strategic planning.
• Experience with lean methodologies (5S, Value Stream Management) and continuous improvement practices.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Knowledgeable about safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and related processes.
